CEFTOPIX 100 / 200mg
Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100/200 mg is a bactericidal cephalosporin group has activity against most gram (-) and gram (+). Proxetil cefpodoxime is indicated for treatment of bacterial infections of upper respiratory tract and lower urinary tract infections upper and lower, skin and soft tissue infections, gonorrhea.
The indications include:
- Infections caused by breathing on sensitive strains Cefpodoxime including sinusitis. In the case of tonsillitis and pharyngitis Cefpodoxime Proxetil should be used as a reserve antibiotic for chronic bacterial infections or recurrent infections or for which the pathogenic strains known or suspected resistance to most antibiotics were used.
- Infections caused by respiratory less sensitive strains Cefpodoxim include acute bronchitis and severe or recurrent forms of acute bronchitis and severe or recurrent forms of bronchitis and pneumonia powerful features.

Pharmacodynamics:
Cefpodoxime proxetil is a beta-lactam antibiotic, cephalosporin 3rd generation orally. It is a precursor of Cefpodoxim.
When administered orally cefpodoxim proxetil is absorbed by the stomach - intestine where it is rapidly hydrolysed to cefpodoxim, a bactericidal antibiotic, and then systemic absorption.
Bacteriology:

Pharmacokinetics:
Cefpodoxim proxetil is absorbed in the intestine and is hydrolyzed into Cefpodoxim active metabolite.
